Mr. Dhilosen Pillay currently serves as the Chairperson of the Free State Gambling and Liquor Authority. He also served as the Chief Executive Officer of Phakisa Major Sport Events and Development Corporation from 2008 to March 2012. Prior to this appointment, he was a board member of the Corporation.

His long standing interest and involvement in the Free State Province is illustrated by his serving as adviser to the MEC: Economic Affairs and Tourism during the period 1994-1996. During that time, he was also the chairperson of the Strategic Management Team that was responsible for the amalgamation of the various development corporations in the Free State Province that existed prior to the 1994 general elections.

He was a founder of the A2 GP and serve as a Director of Motorsport South Africa.  His interests are however not limited to motor sport, as he is also the president of the Chatsworth Cricket Club and an executive member of the Durban Districts Cricket Union. He currently serves as the Chief Executive Officer of the Phakisa.
