Office of the Chief Financial Officer

The Chief Financial Officer is Lucas Leeuw. The functions of the Office of the CFO include the following:

• Provide advice and support on financial matters to the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) in executing accounting authority responsibilities in terms of Public Finance Management Act (PFMA), No 1 of 1999.
• Manage the provision of financial planning/ management accounting function so that the FGLA has a sound, operational, and transparent financial management system.
• Manage the provision of financial reporting function.
• Manage the provision of expenditure and cash-flow management function.
• Manage the provision of financial accounting function.
• Manage the provision of an asset management function
• Oversee the management and provision of supply chain management function and process to ensure that required goods and services are sourced for the FSGLA.
• To develop financial systems of risk and internal controls
• Lead, manage and empower staff and manage other resources in the Finance Department.

Office of the General Manager: Corporate and Strategic Governance

VACANT. The following functional areas are included in the responsibilities of this Office:

• Corporate and business unit strategy implementation.
• Management of the provision and maintenance of strategic human resources.
• Strategic management and capacity of information technology (IT) running of the information technology within FSGLA.
• Strategic management of legal services.
• Marketing and communication
• Divisional human resources and performance management.
• Departmental budget management.

Office of the General Manager: Operations

The General Manager: Technical Services is Kennilworth Dichabe. The functions of the Office include the following:

• Corporate business unit strategy implementation.
• Legislation and compliance monitoring.
• Elimination of unfair business practices.
• Roll-out of inspections.
• Departmental budget management.
• Investigations of applications
• Broad Based Black Empowerment (BBBEE) initiatives.
• Suitability for procurement of financial interests in licensees.
• The new Gambling and Liquor products, opportunities, and industries.
• Management of Human Capital and other resources in the department.
